Managing Your Workbook with the Navigator
The Workbook Navigator is a browser that facilitates navigation, managing, and viewing of files in a workbook (.maple file) from the context menu.
Show Hidden Content
Permits you to show or hide content marked as hidden in the Navigator. For more information, see worksheet,workbook,hiddenFiles.
Apply file and directory numbering to workbook files. For more information, see worksheet,workbook,numbering.
Use this feature to increase or decrease the font size of files in the workbook navigator. The three options are 100%,125%, and 150%.
Create a new Maple document, worksheet, code file, or a folder. For more information see worksheet,workbook,addingContent.
Import a data file, Maple code file, Maple document or worksheet as a workbook attachment. For more information see worksheet,workbook,addingContent.
Select this option to collapse the Navigator or Variables palette in the Workbook tab.
Expand All Palettes
Select this option to expand both the Navigator and Variables palette.
Collapse All Palettes
Select this option to collapse both the Navigator and Variables palette.
Collapse the entire dock on the left-hand side. To expand the dock, click
Open the selected file in the workbook.
Open the file in its native application.
Show in Folder
Show the file in the local folder.
Select this option to have the file automatically when the workbook is opened.
Select this option to restrict access to your file. You will be prompted to set a password for the newly locked file. For more information see worksheet,workbook,password.
Select this option the copy the URI of the file. You can then paste the URI into the workbook to reference the file.
Remove the selected file from the workbook.
Select this option to hide the file (or folder) in the navigator palette. Clear this option to make the file (or folder) visible.
Rename the selected file.
Save the file as a standalone file in a specified format
Export as Worksheet
Save the selected file as a standalone Maple worksheet.
As you add files and folders to your workbook, consider using the options in the workbook navigator to:
Rearrange folders and documents in the Workbook Navigator
Add content to your workbook, such as worksheets, images or data files
Link to attached content
Work with hidden workbook files
Search and filter workbook content
Control access to your workbook files
Export a worksheet from your workbook as a standalone file
