Keynote Presentations:

Dr. Marvin Weinstein

Keynote Presentation at the world-renowned Perimeter Institute

Dr. Marvin Weinstein

Your data wants you to ask better questions. Do it!

Dr. Marvin Weinstein worked as a theoretical physicist at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) for 42 years. While at SLAC, he co-invented Dynamic Quantum Clustering, a revolutionary new data mining algorithm for performing density mapping on unstructured data. He is currently the CSO of Quantum Insights, a company that consults on the application of Dynamic Quantum Clustering (DQC) to analyze large, complex datasets. Dr. Weinstein obtained his PhD in particle physics from Columbia University and completed his postdoc at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton.

Dr. Laurent Bernardin

Keynote Presentation by Maplesoft President and CEO

Dr. Laurent Bernardin

Math Matters

Dr. Laurent Bernardin is President and CEO of Maplesoft. He has been with Maplesoft for over 20 years and prior to his appointment to his current role, he held the positions of CTO and COO. Dr. Bernardin is a firm believer that mathematics matters. Under his leadership, Maple has grown from a research project in symbolic computing to a complete environment for mathematical calculations used by hundreds of thousands of engineers, scientists, researchers and students around the world.
