Sharing a Snippets Palette

In Maple you can create your own palette, as described in Creating a Snippets Palette.  You can then distribute the palette to other Maple users, such as students or colleagues.  This is also useful to have access to the same custom palette on two different computers.

To share a custom palette:

1 Locate the MPALETTE file that corresponds to your palette.  By default, this file's location is:
 • On Windows, C:\Users\userid\AppData\Roaming\Maple\Maple_version
 • On UNIX, $HOME/.maple/Maple_version/ • On Macintosh,$HOME/Library/Preferences/Maple/Maple_version/
where userid is your user name and Maple_version is the version number, for instance, 2017.
2 Locate the HELP file(s) that contain the tasks and icons used in your palette.  By default, this is:
 • On UNIX, $HOME/.maple/Maple_version/tasks.help • On Macintosh,$HOME/Library/Preferences/Maple/Maple_version/tasks.help
