This application is a streamlined version of the U. S. Presidential Election Calculator.  It takes state-by-state polling data entered by the user and simulates multiple national elections comprised of individual elections for each competitive state.  The Electoral Votes for each candidate are tallied and the winner is determined.

The application then uses these results to estimate the probabilities that the Republican or the Democratic candidate will win the election.  The user is free to enter any set of polling data and determine the collection of “swing” states that the application will use in the simulations.  The user can also model two-candidate historical elections by selecting the appropriate configuration of the Electoral College.
