This application takes state-by-state polling data entered by the user and simulates multiple national elections comprised of 51 individual elections, one for each state and the District of Columbia based on that data. The Electoral Votes for each candidate are tallied and the winner is determined.
The application then uses these results to estimate the probabilities that the Republican or the Democratic candidate will win the election. The user is free to enter any set of polling data and can model two-candidate historical elections by selecting the appropriate configuration of the Electoral College.
There is also a "lite" version of this application that decreases run time by only simulating elections in competitive states.
