Maplesoft Brings Direct Presence to France
Paris Sales Office Provides Greater Support for Maplesoft’s Rapidly Growing Academic and Commercial Customer Base

WATERLOO, CANADA, January 20, 2005 – Maplesoft™, the leading provider of high-performance software tools for engineering, science and mathematics, today announced the opening of a sales office in Paris, France. The office will provide several benefits to Maplesoft’s rapidly growing academic and commercial customer base, including direct access to Maple technical support, customer service and up-to-date product information.

"Increased customer demand has dictated the need to establish a direct presence in France," said Benoit Vidalie, head of Maplesoft’s Paris office. "In addition to improving customer support, we plan to facilitate a variety of on-site training days and local seminars that teach engineers, scientists, mathematicians, educators and students how to use our technical productivity tools to work better, faster and smarter."

The new office announcement follows several recent momentum-building developments for the company, including the new release of MapleNet, upgrades to its e-learning products and a collaboration with National Instruments.
