Traction Control technology allows automotive differentials to vary the torque supplied to the front and rear wheels to prevent loss of traction, especially on low friction surfaces. In this webinar an implementation of traction control that uses two industry leading solutions is presented. The vehicle dynamics are modeled in Adams Car and the control strategy is implemented in MapleSim. The vehicle dynamics and the controller models are connected using the Functional Mockup Interface (FMI) a tool-independent standard for model exchange and co-simulation. The webinar details the models, their interface and the engineering insight that can be gathered using the approach.
