With their unique symbolic computation technologies, Maplesoft’s products provide a major advantage over traditional, numeric-only engineering modeling and simulation products. By generating the equations of motion of very complex engineering systems and then simplifying the results to the essential set of equations, these tools produce very concise, numerically efficient models. These high-fidelity models can be simulated in a fraction of the time required with purely iterative numeric approaches.
In addition, built-in automatic code generation allows engineers to produce real-time executable models of systems without sacrificing fidelity or resorting to predefined “black box” models to carry out their hardware-in-the-loop testing.
To aid in the rapid deployment of models, MapleSim add-ons provide an easy-to-use interface for generating S-functions for Simulink® and code blocks for LabVIEW™ and NI VeriStand™. The resulting code can be readily implemented on real-time engineering simulation platforms such as NI-PXI, dSPACE, xPC Target, RT-LAB, and B&R Automation Studio Target for Simulink®.
