Maple Calculator Terms of Use

This document governs the use of the Maple Calculator mobile app. By downloading, installing, or using this app, you agree to the following terms of use.

• You are solely responsible for respecting the copyright of any material you photograph and bring into Maple.
• Moving the mathematical expressions you capture into Maple requires the use of a Maplesoft Account. This account gives you access to a variety of Maplesoft sites and services, and comes with its own Terms of Use, which you must agree to in order to create the account. If you do not have an active Maplesoft Account, you will not be able to access some of the functionality of this app.
• Because this app requires a Maplesoft Account, which comes with an age restriction, children under the age of thirteen will not be able to access most of the functionality of this app.
• We take privacy seriously, and treat any data we collect from your use of this app with great care. For more details, here’s our Privacy Policy.
• The Maple Calculator makes use of a private group in the MapleCloud to bring your math into Maple. The MapleCloud is a general service that can be used for both public and private sharing of Maple documents. By using the MapleCloud, you agree to the MapleCloud Terms of Service.
• Under some circumstances, an actual human may look at the picture you took. Please ensure there is nothing in the picture that you wouldn’t want us to see (or that we wouldn’t want to see!)
• We try hard to create a good product, but legally speaking, this app is provided “as-is”, and we are not responsible for any trouble you get into using this app, and are not liable for any damages (monetary, legal, homework-related, or otherwise) resulting from your use of this app.
• Be nice. Don’t copy, modify, or steal our work, try to hack into our services, or generally try to use our free app against us.
• If anyone violates these terms of use, we reserve the right to disable their access to Maple Calculator services, including access to their Maplesoft Account.
• We reserve the right to update these terms of use from time to time, without notice.
