In this model, planetary rover behaviour on rough terrain is simulated in an extensive multi-domain environment.

Mean-Value Internal Combustion Engine Model: Real-Time Execution
This is a version of a MapleSim Mean-value Engine model that has been prepared for export to Simulink®, NI LabVIEW™ and NI VeriStand™ for real-time implementation.
Semi Trailing Arm
This is a model of an independent rear suspension configuration that relies on a specific mechanical topology to produce the desired kinematic response to a disturbance from the road.

This model is a simple 4-wheeled vehicle with independent suspension at every corner.
Ackermann Steering
A geometric arrangement of linkages in the steering of a vehicle designed to solve the problem of wheels on the inside and outside turning on a different radii.
Eighteen Wheeler

In this model, the behavior of complex multi-axle vehicles is observed. Using tire models, the effects of slip angle during steering manoeuvres are examined.
Quadski Turning and Actuation

A quadski actuation model, double wishbone front suspension and steering linkages for a small off-road vehicle are simulated.

Active Suspension Comparison

This model represents a power line and a data bus that are coupled by mutual inductance and coupling capacitance.

This model examines the mechanics of a scissor lift.

This is an example of cold oil being heated by steam through a series of three tanks connected in series.

This is a model of a typical clutch actuation system found in an automatic transmission.

This is a basic kinematic model for an excavator.
Rollercoaster
This model is an example of a rollercoaster ride, and the effects that a passenger would undergo.
Non-linear Damper
This example shows how to create a custom component that changes the system equations to allow you to enter stiffness and damping values as a input signal to the block.

Tracking Radar Gimbal

In this model, the required elevation and azimuth angles are determined for a radar gimbal tracking system.

Hydraulic Stewart Platform
This is a high-fidelity six degree of freedom (x, y, z, pitch, roll, yaw) model of a Stewart platform (hexapod).
5 Degrees of Freedom Robot – Minimum Time Control

This is an extension of the 2-link robot model that includes body rotation, wrist and end effector.

3 Degrees of Freedom Helicopter with PID
The model was based on a 3 DOF helicopter from Quanser, where two DC motors are mounted at the two ends of a rectangular frame and drive two propellers.
Multibody Systems
Rotating Double Pendulum
This model shows how oscillations in pendulum swinging around point O will induce oscillations into a rectangular plate that can rotate around the axis of the pendulum.
Four-Bar Mechanism: Active Forces and Torques
This is a model where three bars are attached by revolute joints, while the fourth is attached to ground.
Dynamic Response of a Planar Seven-Body Mechanism
This model shows part of a sheet-feeder for a high-speed printer. Called a "squeezer", it is probably one of the most widely simulated and analyzed mechanisms in recent years.
Planar Slider-Crank Mechanism
As shown in the figure, this model demonstrates the crank has a mass m1 (and length L1), while the connecting rod has a mass m2 (and length L2).

This is a model of a ball that drops onto a vertically moving platform and reacts accordingly.
Solar System
This model simulates the orbits of various planets in our solar system under the influence of gravitational force from the Sun.
Lorenz Attractor
The Lorenz attractor, introduced by Edward Lorenz in 1963, is a three-dimensional system corresponding to the behaviour of chaotic flow.
The Foucault Pendulum
This model shows Leon Foucault's pendulum which demonstrates the rotation of the Earth by rotating the angle of the pendulum's swing.
Thermal
Design of a Home Heating Controller
In this model, a controller regulates the heating of a house given disturbances in the temperature of the environment.
HVAC Model with Digital Pulse
This example demonstrates the cooling of a room by a nonlinear valve which regulates ambient air flow.
Thermostat
This example demonstrates the use of the on-off controller with the thermal components to model a living space that is heated by a furnace.
Heating Rod
This application illustrates the use of MapleSim's thermal components for developing a model of a heated iron rod.
