Bending of a Discretized Beam – Multibody, Multi-Domain Physical Model in MapleSim – Maplesoft

Bending of a Discretized Beam

Using MapleSim Multibody and 1-D Mechanical components, a horizontal flexible beam is modeled consisting of small discretized sections, while another vertical beam is connected on top of it, right at its midpoint. A perpendicular force pulls the top part of the vertical beam and as a result the horizontal beam bends.

CAD geometries are used for visualize purpose.
