In this example, a room with all but two sides are insulated.  The room has an initial temperature of 300K and the ambient temperature is 200K. The system will reach equilibrium of 50°C. The differential equations that determine the temperature in the room is in attachment.

This model is ideal for use in the engineering classroom to teach fundamental concepts.
