Gearbox
Realistic model of a gearbox
Description
This component models the essential effects of a gearbox, in particular, gear efficiency due to friction between the teeth and bearing friction in a Lossy Gear component; and gear elasticity, damping, and backlash in an ElastoBacklash component. The inertia of the gear wheels is not modeled.
The model consists of a Lossy Gear component connected in series to an ElastoBacklash component.
