Fiala
Fiala tire model used to determine the forces and moments developed at the tire contact patch
The Fiala tire model, introduced by E. Fiala and extended by the developers of MSC Adams, computes expressions for all tire forces and moments except for the overturning moment. The effects of inclination angle on tire forces are not included, nor are the effects of comprehensive slip during combined cornering, braking, and traction (that is, the lateral and longitudinal slip are treated independently). The Fiala tire model provides reasonable results for many maneuvers.
Note: The port of the Fiala tire model must be connected directly to the port of a tire body component, as shown in the diagram below.
