1-D Mechanical Library Overview

This library contains components to model one-dimensional rotational and translational mechanical systems.

Rotational Components

 Type Description Basic 1-D rotational components, including housing and inertia Bearing and gear components for 1-D rotational systems, including ideal gearboxes Clutches and brakes based on Coulomb friction Components to control the rotation of a flange using an input signal Sensors to generate a signal proportional to a rotational quantity Springs and dampers for 1-D rotational systems Components to model torque in 1-D rotational systems

Translational Components

 Type Description Basic 1-D translational components, including sliding mass, force, and housing Components to provide the 1-D force on a flange using an input signal Components for 1-D translational friction and stops Components to control the 1-D translation of a flange using an input signal Sensors to generate output signals proportional to a translational quantity Springs and dampers for 1-D translational systems
