 cuboid
generate 3-D plot object for a cuboid

 Calling Sequence cuboid(a, b, options)

Parameters

a, b - two points in 3-D options - (optional) equations of the form option=value. For a complete list, see plot3d/options.

Description

 • The cuboid command creates a three-dimensional plot data object, which when displayed is a cuboid whose space diagonal has endpoints a and b.
 • The plot data object produced by the cuboid command can be used in a PLOT3D data structure, or displayed using the plots[display] command.
 • Remaining arguments are interpreted as options, which are specified as equations of the form option = value. For more information, see plottools and plot3d/options.

Examples

 > $\mathrm{with}\left(\mathrm{plottools}\right):$
 > $\mathrm{with}\left(\mathrm{plots}\right):$
 > $\mathrm{display}\left(\mathrm{cuboid}\left(\left[0,0,0\right],\left[1,1,1\right]\right),\mathrm{lightmodel}=\mathrm{light2},\mathrm{shading}=\mathrm{none}\right)$

The following is an example of animating a cuboid by rotating the orientation around an axis:

 > $\mathrm{display}\left(\mathrm{seq}\left(\mathrm{display}\left(\mathrm{cuboid}\left(\left[0,0,0\right],\left[1,1,1\right]\right),\mathrm{axes}=\mathrm{none},\mathrm{scaling}=\mathrm{constrained},\mathrm{orientation}=\left[0,45,i\right]\right),i=0..360,20\right),\mathrm{insequence}=\mathrm{true}\right)$
