3.3 Proctored Exams

  • The system allows proctors to authorize assignments in a supervised lab setting, either from your computer or from the student's computer. You can use the Proctor Login (from the Class Homepage) and use Proctor Tools to avoid authorizing at the student's computer. Authorizing at the student's computer is offered as a convenience; keep your password confidential and do not enter your password in front of students repeatedly.
  • The instructor decides whether to have you sign students in (to start an assignment), or sign them out (to allow grading). The authorization method usually depends on class size and the number of teaching assistants available to act as proctors. However, this double-checking approach keeps the environment more controlled.
