Hiding or Deleting a Custom Library
You can use the Manage Libraries window to hide or delete custom libraries that you created. For more information about custom libraries, see Creating a Custom Library.
To hide a custom library:
From the Tools menu, select Manage Libraries... .
Clear the check boxes of the custom libraries that you want to hide.
Note: You can also hide libraries by following the below instructions and selecting Just remove the references from my project.
To delete a custom library:
Select the custom libraries you want to delete.
Note: You can select multiple custom libraries by holding the Ctrl key while making your selection.
Click Unload. The custom libraries that you selected are marked with a strikethrough line.
Click OK. The Permanently Delete window appears.
Alternatively, in the Library Components palette (
), right-click (Control-click for Mac) on the library you want to hide and select Remove. The Permanently Delete window appears.
From the Permanently Delete window, select one of the following options:
Just remove the references from MapleSim: the custom library palette is hidden from the MapleSim window, but its .msimlib file is not deleted from your computer. Select this option if you want to hide the custom palette from the MapleSim window for display purposes, but plan to use the custom library in the future.
Remove the references from MapleSim, and permanently delete the file: the custom library palette is removed from the MapleSim window and its .msimlib file is deleted from your computer. Select this option if you want to remove the custom library permanently and do not plan to use it in the future.
Click Apply if you want to decide on a case-by-case basis whether the custom library entries marked for unload will be hidden or deleted. Click Apply to all if you want to hide or delete all of the custom libraries.
Note: You cannot delete the default library palettes (for example, Electrical, Multibody, and Favorites).
