Heating Resistor

Temperature dependent electrical resistor

Important: The Heating Resistor component has been deprecated. Instead, use the Resistor component with its Use Heat Port parameter set to true.

Description

The Heating Resistor component models a resistance with a linear dependence on temperature and a connection to a thermal port. The temperature is that of the thermal port. Power dissipation in the resistor flows through the thermal port. If the thermal port is not connected, the resistance is fixed at ${R}_{\mathrm{ref}}$. The equations of this component are

R =
