Calling Sequence

plot([x(t), y(t), t=range of t], h, v, options)

Parameters

[x, y, range]

parametric specifications

h

-

horizontal range

v

-

vertical range

options

-

(optional) plot options; see plot/options

Description

•

A parametric plot is specified by a list of three items;  the first two are real functions of a parameter, the third is the range for the parameter.

•

When used in conjunction with the option coords=polar, parametric plots produces polar plots.

•

Several parametric plots can be plotted on the same graph, by providing a set or a list of parametric plots as the first argument.  For more information, see plot.

Examples

plotsint,cost,t=0..Pi

plotx2,x,x=0..3Pi,8..8,10..10,coords=polar

plott21t2+1,2tt2+1,t=∞..∞

The command to create the plot from the Plotting Guide is

plot2coss,sins,s=0..2Pi,cost,sint,t=0..2Pi,color=blue,yellow
