Divergence of a Vector Field

Description Calculate the divergence of a vector field.

Define the coordinate system.

 > $\mathrm{VectorCalculus}\left[\mathrm{SetCoordinates}\right]\left({\mathrm{cartesian}}\left[{x}{,}{y}{,}{z}\right]\right):$

Define the vector field.

 > $\mathrm{VectorCalculus}\left[\mathrm{VectorField}\right]\left(<{x}{{y}}^{{2}}{,}{y}{,}{-}{{z}}^{{2}}>\right)$
 $\left({x}{}{{y}}^{{2}}\right){\stackrel{{_}}{{e}}}_{{x}}{+}\left({y}\right){\stackrel{{_}}{{e}}}_{{y}}{-}{{z}}^{{2}}{\stackrel{{_}}{{e}}}_{{z}}$ (1)

Calculate the divergence of the vector field.

 > $\mathrm{VectorCalculus}\left[\mathrm{Divergence}\right]\left(\right)$
 ${1}{+}{{y}}^{{2}}{-}{2}{}{z}$ (2)
