Adding a Text Annotation
Text annotations are notes that you can add to either a part or the CAD Workspace.
A text annotation added to a part stays with the part as you orient it in the CAD Workspace. A text annotation added to the CAD Workspace remains fixed in place even when you pan, zoom, or rotate the view.
Text annotations are not visible in MapleSim. They can only be seen in the Import CAD and Feature Detect windows.
To add a text annotation:
Click Text Annotation (
Do either of the following:
Click on a part to attach the text note to the part.
Click on the CAD Workspace background to attach the text note to the CAD Workspace.
Enter the contents for the note in the Text box.
(Optional) Set other properties for the note. The properties that you can set include:
Font: Set the font family, style, size, and effects.
Color: Set the color for the note.
Markers: Select whether or not to draw an ellipse around the note and optionally set the line width of the ellipse.
