The GNU Multiple Precision (GMP) library is a portable library written in C for arbitrary-precision arithmetic on integers, rational numbers, and floating-point numbers. Maple uses the GMP library for integer arithmetic when operands are greater than or equal to a threshold.

The GMP library is distributed under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License Version 2.1. In accordance with this license, we are making the versions of the GMP source code used by Maple releases available for download.
