Teaching Concepts with Maple
The Maplesoft website contains the page "Teaching Concepts with Maple" where gradually a collection of Clickable Calculus examples have been rolled out. The links on the page lead to downloadable Maple documents as well as video clips of Dr. Lopez implementing point-and-click solutions of problems in his collection of Clickable Calculus exercises. Each example is designed to help your students learn concepts more quickly and with greater insight and understanding. They demonstrate the underlying pedagogy of "resequencing skills and concepts" implemented through the ease-of-use features that make up the syntax-free paradigm of today's Maple. This webinar will discuss why these examples exist, and why they have been recorded as videos. It will demonstrate the site, and a few illustrative examples. The emphasis will be on the underlying philosophy upon which this project is based.
