Waterloo, Canada; June 23rd, 2014: Maplesoft’s parent company, Cybernet Systems Co., Ltd., with headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, has kicked off the Maple Techno Forum 2014 conferences. This series of conferences, which are held across Asia, allow Maple and MapleSim customers the opportunity to share experiences, hear about recent developments, and learn how others are using these symbolic computation and multidomain system level modeling tools in cutting-edge research, industrial applications, and education.
Maple Techno Forum events are held in China, Taiwan, and Korea. For these events, Cybernet Systems has gathered professionals, academics, and guest speakers from around the world to lead the discussions. Keynote speakers include Dr. Amir Khajepour, Professor of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering and Canada Research Chair in Mechatronic Vehicle Systems at the University of Waterloo, and professional engineers from ABB China, the National Space Organization in Taiwan, and China Sanjiang Spaceflight Group. Other presenters include instructors and researchers from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and The University of Science and Technology Beijing.
Presenters will outline ways engineers can use symbolic computation and multidomain modeling to produce better and more sophisticated products faster, and at a lower cost. The Maple Techno Forum in Taiwan will also focus on how Maple and MapleSim improve learning at both high school and university levels.
“Mathematics is fundamental to all engineering systems,” said Kuniaki Tanaka, President and CEO, Cybernet Systems Co., Ltd. “One guaranteed way of arriving at accurate solutions quickly is to use a mathematical approach to solving engineering problems. Maple and MapleSim are based on this principle and can help engineers solve their challenges quickly and precisely. They are also excellent tools for educators, allowing them to connect the theory to practice using complex, real-world examples.”
The Maple Techno Forum events are held at the following dates and locations:
Shanghai, China: June 6th, 2014
Taipei, Taiwan: August 20th, 2014
Korea: October 23rd, 2014
Cybernet Japan will be hosting a System CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) Symposium in Tokyo at the end of October, as part of the same series.
