On-Site Training: Policies and Procedures

Cost

The list price for each course covers instruction for up to a maximum of 10 students. Each additional student costs $300/student. In addition to the course fees, the client is responsible for covering the travel and living expenses of the instructor(s). For class sizes of 1-14 students, a single instructor will be sent. For a class size of 15-24 students, a second instructor is required. For more than 25 students, please contact us to discuss options.

Rescheduling and Cancellation Policies

In order that we can meet all our customers’ needs, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible regarding any changes to your scheduled training. Notice is to be given in writing.

Note: In all cases, any non-refundable incurred expenses will be invoiced to the client.

Fees for changes will be applied according to the following chart:

Amount of Notice Rescheduling Cancellation
Notice given 30 or more calendar days in advance Can be rescheduled without penalty Can be cancelled without penalty
Notice given 10-29 calendar days in advance Can be rescheduled without penalty 50% of the course fee will be charged
Notice given less than 10 calendar days in advance A rescheduling fee of 25% of the course fee will be charged. No refund. 100% of the course fee will be charged.

Lab Requirements

The course consists of a combination of presentation and hands-on examples. Therefore, the room used must be equipped with:
  • a projection screen
  • a projector (if one is not available, with advance notice, Maplesoft can provide a projector at no additional cost)
  • An electrical outlet for the instructor.
  • Enough computers for the class, with a maximum of 2 students/computer. For maximum benefit, one student/computer is recommended,
  • Each computer must meet the Maple system requirements, and have the most recent version of Maple installed, including any updates.
  • An internet connection for the instructor is recommended.

Note on Training Materials

Training materials are provided to each student on CD and in binders. Additional copies can be purchased from Maplesoft if desired.
