Change Line Width

  

Change the line width for an individual curve or surface.

Change the Line Width of a 2-D Plot

1. 

Click the plot to select it. Alternatively, right-click (Control-click, for Macintosh) the plot to activate the context-sensitive menu.

2. 

From the Plot menu, select Line.

3. 

Select Line Width. The Set Line Width dialog opens.

4. 

Increase or decrease the line width using the arrow buttons, or enter a line width greater than 0.

5. 

Click OK.

Change the Line Width of a 3-D Plot

1. 

Click the plot to select it. Alternatively, right-click (Control-click, for Macintosh) the plot to activate the context-sensitive menu.

2. 

From the Plot menu, select Line.

3. 

Select Line Width. The Line Width dialog opens.

4. 

Enter a line width between 1 (narrow) and 50 (wide), or change the line width value using the Slider.

5. 

Click OK.

Note on Standard Plots

  

When using the plot and plot3d commands, line width can be set using the thickness=n option. The value of n can be any positive integer. For details, see plot[options] and plot3d[option].
