Smooth Ramp

Generates a real smooth ramp signal

Description

The Smooth Ramp component uses a hyperbolic tangent function to generate a smooth ramp signal. At time t=T0 (mid-point time), the output y equals  offset+height2. The rate of change at time t=T0 is dydtx=a|f(x)t=T0= k0   (mid-point rate).

The equation of this component is

y= offset + 12tanh2k0t  T0+1height
