Zero Order Hold

Outputs a zero-order hold of a sample period

Description

The Zero Order Hold component outputs the input value, $u$, for a given sampling time and holds the output at the value of the last sample instant during the sample points. The equation of this component is

$y=\left\{\begin{array}{cc}u& \frac{t-{T}_{0}}{\mathrm{samplePeriod}}=0\\ \stackrel{^}{u}& \mathrm{otherwise}\end{array}\right\$ The Signal Size parameter allows the block to operate on a vector of signals rather than a single signal.

Connections

Name Description $u$ Continuous input signal connection $y$ Continuous output signal connection

Parameters

Symbol Default Units Description Modelica ID Sample Period $0.1$ $s$ Sample period of the component samplePeriod ${T}_{0}$ $0$ $s$ First sample time instant startTime Signal Size $1$ - Dimension of input and output signals signalSize
