sumtools

 hyperterm
 input a hypergeometric term
 Hyperterm
 input a hypergeometric term

 Calling Sequence hyperterm(U, L, z, k) Hyperterm(U, L, z, k)

Parameters

U, L - lists of the upper and lower parameters z - evaluation point k - name of the variable

Description

 • This function is a shorthand for a hypergeometric term of variable k where U and L denote the lists of upper and lower parameters, and z is the evaluation point. The procedure Hyperterm is the corresponding inert form which remains unevaluated.
 • The command with(sumtools, hyperterm) allows the use of the abbreviated form of this command.

Examples

 > $\mathrm{with}\left(\mathrm{sumtools}\right):$
 > $\mathrm{hyperterm}\left(\left[a,b\right],\left[c\right],z,k\right)$
 $\frac{{\mathrm{pochhammer}}{}\left({a}{,}{k}\right){}{\mathrm{pochhammer}}{}\left({b}{,}{k}\right){}{{z}}^{{k}}}{{\mathrm{pochhammer}}{}\left({c}{,}{k}\right){}{k}{!}}$ (1)
 > $\mathrm{Hyperterm}\left(\left[a,b\right],\left[c\right],z,k\right)$
 ${\mathrm{Hyperterm}}{}\left(\left[{a}{,}{b}\right]{,}\left[{c}\right]{,}{z}{,}{k}\right)$ (2)
