simplify/hypergeom - simplify hypergeometric expressions

 Calling Sequence simplify(expr, hypergeom)

Parameters

expr - any expression hypergeom - literal name; hypergeom

Description

 • The simplify/hypergeom function is used to simplify expressions which contain hypergeometric functions.
 • Calling simplify invokes this function if the input contains hypergeometrics.

Examples

 > $\mathrm{simplify}\left(\mathrm{hypergeom}\left(\left[-1\right],\left[1\right],z\right),\mathrm{hypergeom}\right)$
 ${1}{-}{z}$ (1)
 > $\mathrm{simplify}\left(\mathrm{hypergeom}\left(\left[\right],\left[3\right],\mathrm{ln}\left(z\right)\right),\mathrm{hypergeom}\right)$
 $\frac{{2}{}{\mathrm{BesselI}}{}\left({2}{,}{2}{}\sqrt{{\mathrm{ln}}{}\left({z}\right)}\right)}{{\mathrm{ln}}{}\left({z}\right)}$ (2)
 > $\mathrm{simplify}\left(\mathrm{WhittakerW}\left(\frac{7}{3},1,\mathrm{hypergeom}\left(\left[1\right],\left[2\right],z\right)\right),\mathrm{hypergeom}\right)$
 ${\mathrm{WhittakerW}}{}\left(\frac{{7}}{{3}}{,}{1}{,}\frac{{{ⅇ}}^{{z}}{-}{1}}{{z}}\right)$ (3)
