geometry

 Equation
 equation of the geometric object

 Calling Sequence Equation(obj) Equation(obj, [x, y])

Parameters

obj - the given geometric object [x, y] - (optional) the names of the horizontal and vertical axis

Description

 • The routine returns an algebraic representation of the given geometric object.
 • Users will be asked to provide the names of the axis if they are not assigned to two names and if the second optional argument is not given.
 • The command with(geometry,Equation) allows the use of the abbreviated form of this command.

Examples

 > $\mathrm{with}\left(\mathrm{geometry}\right):$
 > $\mathrm{point}\left(A,0,0\right),\mathrm{point}\left(B,1,1\right):$
 > $\mathrm{line}\left(l,\left[A,B\right]\right)$
 ${l}$ (1)
 > $\mathrm{Equation}\left(l,\left[x,y\right]\right)$
 ${-}{x}{+}{y}{=}{0}$ (2)
