 multinomial
 compute the multinomial coefficients

 Calling Sequence multinomial(n, k1, k2, ..., km)

Parameters

 n - a positive integer k[i] - positive integers whose sum is n

Description

 • The procedure multinomial(n, k1, k2, ..., km) computes the multinomial coefficient denoted $\left(n|\mathrm{k1},\mathrm{k2},\mathrm{...},\mathrm{km}\right)$ equal to $n!/\left(\mathrm{k1}!\mathrm{k2}!\mathrm{...}\mathrm{km}!\right)$ where it is assumed that $n=\mathrm{k1}+\mathrm{k2}+...+\mathrm{km}$ and that $0; that is, there are at least 2 arguments.
 • The command with(combinat,multinomial) allows the use of the abbreviated form of this command.
