Quotient Rule for Logarithms

 Quotient Rule ${\mathrm{log}}_{b}\left(\frac{x}{y}\right)={\mathrm{log}}_{b}\left(x\right)-{\mathrm{log}}_{b}\left(y\right)$

Click the graph to choose two numbers, ${x}_{\mathit{1}}$ and ${x}_{\mathit{2}}$. Then click Show Quotient Rule and watch how the difference of the logarithms of  ${x}_{\mathit{1}}$ and ${x}_{\mathit{2}}$ is logarithm of their quotient, $\frac{{x}_{\mathit{1}}}{{x}_{\mathit{2}}}$.
