Product rule for Logarithms

 Product Rule ${\mathrm{log}}_{\mathrm{b}}\left(x\cdot y\right)={\mathrm{log}}_{b}\left(x\right)+{\mathrm{log}}_{b}\left(y\right)$

Click the graph to choose two numbers, ${x}_{\mathit{1}}$ and ${x}_{\mathit{2}}$. Then click Show Product Rule and watch how the logarithms of  ${x}_{\mathit{1}}$ and ${x}_{\mathit{2}}$ add to logarithm of their product, ${x}_{\mathit{1}}\mathit{\cdot }{x}_{\mathit{2}}$. Select Integers only to multiply only integers.
