Magma

 Zero
 return a zero element of a magma with a zero.

 Calling Sequence Zero( m )

Parameters

 m - Array representing the Cayley table of a finite magma

Description

 • The Zero(m) command returns a zero element of a magma m with a zero.  If the magma has no zero element, then an exception is raised.  In the case in which a magma has multiple zeroes, the first one found is returned.

Examples

 > $\mathrm{with}\left(\mathrm{Magma}\right):$
 > $m≔⟨⟨⟨1|2|3⟩,⟨2|2|2⟩,⟨3|2|1⟩⟩⟩$
 ${m}{:=}\left[\begin{array}{rrr}{1}& {2}& {3}\\ {2}& {2}& {2}\\ {3}& {2}& {1}\end{array}\right]$ (1)
 > $\mathrm{Zero}\left(m\right)$
 ${2}$ (2)

Compatibility

 • The Magma[Zero] command was introduced in Maple 15.
 • For more information on Maple 15 changes, see Updates in Maple 15.
