ColorTools

 Darken
 create a new color with lower brightness

 Calling Sequence Darken(color) Darken(color, factor)

Parameters

 color - color format recognized by ColorTools factor - positive number

Description

 • The Darken command creates a new Color structure which has the same hue and chroma as the input color, but is multiplied by a factor of .8. In other words, the new Color structure is lighter by a factor of .8.
 • If the optional parameter factor is given the output is lightened by that factor if it is less than 1, and the reciprocal otherwise.
