- I'm trying to run Maple 8 on Solaris 9. It's not working. Why
is this?

What can I do?
- I have successfully installed Maple on my Windows machine.
When I start Maple, I get a window which states that Maple
was unable to start. When I click Details, I get a message
saying Kernel server failure: could not start server.
Why is Maple not starting
up?

When I try to start the Maple license server on my Solaris 9 machine, I am getting a FLEXlm error of -16,287 and my debug log contains the following:
(maplelmg) Vendor daemon can't talk to lmgrd
(Cannot read data from license server (-16,287:22 "Invalid argument"))
(lmgrd) Vendor daemon died with status 39

I added words to a new dictionary file. I started a new
Maple session and the words I saved in the dictionary file
are not recognized. Why
is the dictionary file not available in my new session?

When trying to enable the Maple Excel
Add-in in Microsoft Excel, I receive the following
error message:
A document with the name 'WMIMPLEX.xla'
is already open. You cannot open two documents with
the same name, even if the documents are in different
folder. To open the second document, either close the
document that's currently open, or rename one of the
documents.
How do I resolve this
problem?
