This model demonstrates the effects of the non-linear magnetization characteristic (neglecting hysteresis) of soft magnetic material as used in transformer.  To contrast it with a linear characteristic, change the boolean-valued Nonlinear Permeability parameter of r_mFe from true to false.

Changing the phase delay of SV1 so that there is a zero-crossing at t=0 causes a large inrush current
