Easily design controller and physical model in one environment
MapleSim allows modeling at both the physical component level and the signal-flow level within the same model; there is no need to transform a physical model into a signal-flow diagram. Instead, both the plant model and the control system can be prototyped using the modeling approach that best suits that task.
For example, this diagram shows a model of a DC motor and gearbox with an associated control system. Inside the model, connections between the components represent the physical connections, while outside the model, sensors convert any properties of interest into a signal that can be used in the controller. |
