Magnetic Ball Levitation

This is a physical model of a magnetic levitation system which is used to levitate a ball in air by electromagnetic force generated by an electromagnet. The plant is placed inside a position control loop which allows the ball to track a user specified position.

This model is ideal for use in the engineering classroom to teach fundamental concepts.
