Command-free Problem Solving: Document Mode
Maple 10 offers a new Document mode for command-free problem solving. With
Document mode, you can create rich interactive technical documents or do scratch-pad calculations. You can state and solve your problems easily, without entering or seeing a single Maple command, so you can concentrate on getting results.

In Document mode, you can:

  • Enter your problems using palettes and 2-D math
  • Use context menus to perform operations and manipulations
  • Use task assistants and tutors

all without seeing a single Maple command

Using Document mode, you can:

Display your results inline: `+`(1/3, 2/7) = 13/21
Include your problem and solution as part of your text:

The determinant of Matrix(%id = 146779224) is -8 .
Modify the question update the results, while leaving your text unchanged:

The determinant of Matrix(%id = 146965872) is -9 .
