Math education has changed dramatically over the last 25 years, and Maplesoft has been a part of it. Now, Maplesoft has a vision to help educators thrive in this new, online world: The Möbius Project.
In this whitepaper, you will discover:
- What is The Möbius Project?
- The variety of ways Möbius Apps are used to aid the classroom
- How The Möbius Project makes it easy to create rich, interactive mathematical applications, share them with your class or with everyone, and grade them to assess understanding
The Möbius Project is a revolutionary initiative for mathematics and technical education that makes the power of Maple available to you and your students in even more ways. The Möbius Project makes it easy to create rich, interactive mathematical applications, share them with your class or with everyone, and grade them to assess understanding.
Using Maple, the flagship mathematical software product from Maplesoft, instructors can easily create interactive mathematical applications (“Möbius Apps”) that help their colleagues and students solve a problem, visualize a solution, explore a concept, and assess understanding. These applications are then shared through The Möbius Project, where they can be used even by people who do not have Maple via a web browser or the free Maple Player. These applications are also gradeable by Maple T.A., the testing and assessment system from Maplesoft, giving instructors a whole new way to measure and deepen students’ understanding.
This initiative is well underway, with many aspects of the project already available for use in the classroom today. All products and features discussed in this whitepaper are either already released, or are available as a technology preview.
