Maplesoft, Toyota and the University of Waterloo have been awarded the joint Synergy Award for Innovation instituted by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. Their joint collaboration in designing automotive systems produced model-based controllers that improve safety and comfort, as well as reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
Maple 18 Release Improves MapleSim

Active tilting system modeled for three-wheeled city vehicle

A team of researchers from the University of Waterloo undertook a study of a three-wheeled vehicle in order to find possible solutions to the megacity problems of congestion and limited parking. With use of a model in MapleSim, they made comparisons of system performance at varying speeds and front-wheel steering angles.
