Active tilting system modeled for three-wheeled city vehicle

A team of researchers from the University of Waterloo undertook a study of a three-wheeled vehicle in order to find possible solutions to the megacity problems of congestion and limited parking. With use of a model in MapleSim, they made comparisons of system performance at varying speeds and front-wheel steering angles.

Together with Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada and the University of Waterloo, Maplesoft has contributed to a collaborative project that will improve vehicle safety and comfort while reducing fuel consumption. This project has been awarded a Synergy Award for Innovation by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
