Even in the highly accurate mathematical worlds of financial engineering and risk management, one-plus-one sometimes adds up to more than two. For instance, when one top software provider makes its products easily accessible for users of another, the result can be a real powerhouse.
“This product enables financial modelers and analysts to create very sophisticated and complex models on desktops with a huge array of functionality at their fingertips on a cost effective basis,” says Rob Meyer, CEO of NAG.
“Prior to having a technology like ours, engineers had a very rigid view of what math is about,” (Tom) Lee says. “We were instrumental in changing that, making them more effective with analytic work. We hope to do that in the financial world as well.”
