Maple-NAG Connector Seeks To Eliminate Conventional Programming Issues

Financial Engineering News, November 2006

Janice Rosenberg of Financial Engineering News looks at the developing relationship between Maplesoft and NAG (Numerical Algorithms Group) and discusses the companies’ joint product, the Maple-NAG Connector.

“This product enables financial modelers and analysts to create very sophisticated and complex models on desktops with a huge array of functionality at their fingertips on a cost effective basis,” says Rob Meyer, CEO of NAG.

“Prior to having a technology like ours, engineers had a very rigid view of what math is about,” (Tom) Lee says. “We were instrumental in changing that, making them more effective with analytic work. We hope to do that in the financial world as well.”
