Inside Sales Representative

As a Sales Representative at Maplesoft, you are highly motivated, ambitious and are driven to succeed towards furthering your career in Sales.  You bring a minimum of 3 - 5 years of sales experience and will use that experience within a sales team environment where your time will be dedicated to closing new business opportunities as a member of our Academic Sales team. You would be responsible for selling the company's products and services via telephone and on-site visits to North American colleges and universities.  You are comfortable and confident on the phone and in person, are equally confident presenting to one or one hundred, and are at ease talking at a high level about technical software solutions. This position requires that you be self-motivated, a solutions-based seller and focused to be able to achieve revenue sales goals – helping our academic users acquire our technical software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively call into existing customers to identify sales opportunities for the adoption of additional products.
  • Prospect for new customers in the assigned territory and close new sales for our products and services.
  • Articulate our product's technical and business proposition to customer decision makers.
  • Collaborate with technical marketing, product development, and application engineering to assure proper service to our customers and prospects.
  • Manage sales forecast and meet monthly and quarterly goals set for the territory.
  • Facilitate presentations both face-to-face and online with academic prospects

Profile:

  • A University degree required
  • Existing sales experience (minimum 3 years) selling software solutions to a technical market would be a definite asset
  • Quick-learner with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills
  • Highly motivated, engaging and able to work effectively within a team environment
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Results driven with a strong work ethic
  • Demonstrates an ability to set individual goals, monitor the progress of objectives against targets, and develop corrective actions or recommendations to ensure goals are met
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com is an asset
