Using BlockImporter, an add-on to Maple, you can import a Simulink® model into Maple and convert it to a set of mathematical equations. Once the model is represented as a set of equations, it can be analyzed, optimized and simplified using the power of Maple. This application shows how you can take this a step further: from the generated equations, it is very easy to create a custom component for MapleSim. This example shows how you can import a Simulink® model, in this case the F14 model, generate and simplify the resulting equations and then convert them into the form required for the MapleSim Custom Component template. This allows you to define the inputs, outputs and any user-editable parameters for the MapleSim block and, with a click of button, generate a block in MapleSim that has exactly the same dynamics behavior as the Simulink® model. You only need MapleSim to view this application, but you need BlockImporter and Simulink® version 2007b or later to execute it.
